We are a small, but growing group of diverse modelers that get together to discuss aspects of modeling. Whether it be
building
from scratch or from kits, we share with each other ideas and techniques of painting, gluing, weathering plus the general history of specific models
and era's. To assist us with this, we bring our current project(s) to the meeting to show off and use to teach others how and why we did it a
specific way.
Our intent is to let others see a different recreational avenue to pursue that is clean and safe. Our focus is on our younger modelers as we are available
to help them develop the skills necessary to create truly realistic miniatures using various small hand tools. This teaches patience and the ability
to follow written directions ( and pictures ). It also grabs the older or experienced modelers as it always seems that someone has 'a different way'
of doing something. It truly does teach an old dog new tricks!
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm for about 1 to 2 hours. Flying Tiger Hobby; 622 West 6th
Street, hosts
these meetings in an informal setting. All are welcome no matter what the model interest is. Come back and
check it out as we expect this site to change.
